Panther Paws of Hope: Therapy Dog Effort Series #3

Therapy Dog Donation Series Post #3!

We donated our third doggie care package to support Pepper & her handler in the Gowanda Central School District’s therapy dog program!

The therapy dog program launched halfway through the 2021 school year. Panther students across the district were adapting to a post-pandemic world both in & out of the classroom, and the challenges were taking a mental toll. Thus came the therapy dog program. Fast forwarding to today, the program is thriving with dog coverage across the district for both student & faculty mental support.

Pepper, a 3-year-old golden retriever, was the FIRST therapy dog on school grounds. Located within the high school, she spends her day helping panther students mature into successful adults and future leaders. Pepper also loves the outdoors, completing over 25 hiking locations and 130 miles of trails! Her adventures are even captured on Facebook. Check her out!

We were thrilled to support Pepper with a doggie care package of toys & treats! A gift certificate for local dog grooming was also included. Special thanks to K9 Clippers & Just Pets for their continued collaboration in this series!

Are you interested in supporting Pepper and the therapy dog program? Click the digital donation links in our bio, or mail a check to PO Box 44, Gowanda, NY! All donations on behalf of the handlers will be submitted to the school district at the end of this series. Please consider helping these therapy dog teams support our local students!

Have a great weekend, Gowanda!
