Ensering Hopes & Dreams (EHD) is proud to announce a new program stemming from our End Gowanda Hunger initiative: a Targeted Food Donation Program.
This program will have the community’s best interest in mind by only fostering necessary & in-demand food item donations. Outreach discussions will be held with volunteers from The Gowanda Food Pantry continuously to learn top needs every month. At the tail of each month, there will be a new donation. The number of days in that month will also coincide with the amount of food donated. We established this to result in 365 items donated each year! Overall, this program will ensure the donations of essential food products to fulfill the nutritional needs of the local area.
Leading into our first donation for June, EHD will be providing 30 one-pound packages of ground beef. This product is known for its versatility. Since it can be used in a vast variety of recipes, we saw it as an impactful first donation for the many to follow. We also want to give a special thank you to Shop ‘n Save for making this planned donation a reality.
Although the first monthly donation is complete, our goal behind End Gowanda Hunger continues as we will forever be committed to helping the local area.
