We had a blast participating in our village’s 4th annual community cleanup!
Even though the event had a brisk cold forecast, volunteers did not shy away from the weather. Over 40 village residents & students came to help remove trash throughout the community! A strong student presence was led by Gowanda Central’s National Honor Society and ImPactful Panthers, two outgoing student volunteer groups.
Volunteers quickly split into teams to span the village’s many public parks & areas. St John’s Park was a top priority within walking distance, while others tackled outer areas such as Gateway Park and East Hill Street’s woodline. All in all, everyone’s hard work properly removed over 10 garbage bags’ worth of trash from our community!
Special thanks to the community members and local students who made this year’s cleanup successful! Have a great week, Gowanda!
