Would you like a bag for that?
Our End Gowanda Hunger initiative is supporting The Gowanda Food Pantry once again today with a donation of 300 reusable grocery bags!
These bags will be used during monthly food distribution efforts for community members & residents. The dwindling supply of plastic bags for distribution packaging was a unanimous concern amongst pantry volunteers recently. We identified the need at that moment and began exploring a donation effort soon after.
Eco-friendly alternatives quickly became our top priority. With Gowanda experiencing water pollution firsthand, we were determined to steer clear of plastic bags regardless of cost or supply. Reusable bags catapulted to the best option as a result, and today marks a happy ending for an effort to benefit pantry volunteers & the community in which they serve.
Thank you kindly for your time & we hope you have a great rest of your day!
