Time for a Shelving Upgrade!
We donated 6 brand-new industrial shelves to The Gowanda Food Pantry!
Food storage capacity has been a constant issue as the pantry continues to serve a growing number of residents and families. Outdated shelving units could not effectively support food product weight or fit foods in their original bulk packaging. Ahead of this week’s monthly food distribution, it was time for a long-overdue upgrade.
Shelf assembly and installation took place over the weekend to enable the pantry to better serve our community. The new shelves bolster an increased weight capacity of 3,000 lbs and better dimensions to accommodate all food product assortments. Once the shelves were in place, we assisted pantry volunteers in reorganizing foods & restocking for the upcoming food distribution.
