End Gowanda Hunger: March Reusable Bag Donation

Reduce, Recycle, and Use Reusable Bags!

We donated 300 reusable grocery bags to The Gowanda Food Pantry this week through our End Gowanda Hunger initiative!

This effort is the fourth installment in our series of eco-friendly bagging contributions for pantry operations. After a busy holiday distribution stretch where the pantry supplied over 5,600 meals to local families, reusable bags on-hand for volunteers were running thin. This week’s donation restocks inventory while continuing our goal of sustaining the pantry’s transition to green packaging alternatives.

We also remain determined to steer clear of plastic bags regardless of cost or supply after Gowanda experienced water pollution firsthand. The inconvenience of paper bags is being avoided as well. Reusable bags have stepped up to the plate as a result and continue to be home runs during food distributions.

Reusable Bag Donation Count: 1,300

Thank you kindly for your time, and we hope you have a great rest of your day!
