End Gowanda Hunger: 1st Quarter 2024 Recap!
We donated over 90 food items & 400 reusable bags to The Gowanda Food Pantry as they push into 2024!
End Gowanda Hunger is our set initiative that offers annual support to the pantry & its hard-working volunteer staff. Over the past three months, monthly food donations have continued to address specific food shortages. January kickstarted 2024 with grape & strawberry jelly. Cans of fruit followed in February. March’s donation of mac & cheese was then quickly delivered in time for next week’s monthly distribution.
Alongside February’s canned fruit, we donated an additional 400 reusable grocery bags! The bags are used during distributions to compile food assortments that assist our friends, family, & community in always having food on the table. This bag series has successfully sustained the pantry’s transition to green bagging alternatives!
