Community Effort: Food Serving Cart Donation

Whose Hungry for Lunch?

We donated a collapsible food serving cart to Gowanda’s Love INC yesterday in support of their new community kitchen for the local area!

Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC for short) is a non-profit organization located in the heart of the village on downtown main street. Although Christianity is rooted within its mission, they offer support to our community regardless of religious designation. People in the greater Gowanda area have access to second-hand clothing & furniture stores, a network of drivers assisting senior citizens & others reach medical appointments, and now a community kitchen!

The Loving Spoonful’s grand opening is this upcoming Monday, April 3rd.  Volunteers will be serving lunch during the work week except for Tuesdays. Meals will include soup, sandwiches, and simple desserts. Table seating where individuals can enjoy their meals & chat is also provided.

With the grand opening around the corner, the need for a food serving cart grew immensely. Moving food and kitchenware to the serving area was a hassle for volunteers during their practice runs. Limited space for such a cart had also been noted.

Our donation of a collapsible food serving cart yesterday addresses both concerns. It can easily transport items between the kitchen & serving area while collapsing in half for effortless storage. However, we didn’t want to donate the cart empty. Yesterday’s donation also includes two bulk boxes of flavor mix chips and soup broth for community meals!

You’re invited to have lunch at The Loving Spoonful this Monday! Thank you kindly for your time, and we hope you have a great rest of your day!
