We visited Hidi Park in our “Beautifying Gowanda” series!
Beautifying Gowanda is our seasonal program to improve public recreational areas throughout the village. This series features outdoor work & maintenance to transform these locations into more welcoming places for local families and our community. Hidi Park became the center of a recent community grant discussion, so we beautified the area to support the vision for improvement!
Nestled in its quiet corner, Hidi is one of Gowanda’s smallest parks. Our effort focused on planting new greenery around the park’s perimeter. The additions fill voids while not impeding the open grass area for outdoor activities. Special thanks to Schichtel’s Nursery for the young tree & shrub pair!
