Community Effort: Christmas in Gowanda 2024!

Christmas in Gowanda 2024!

We had a blast at this year’s Christmas in Gowanda!

Our priority was decorating Chang Hu Park for the memorable tree-lighting ceremony. Thanks to The ImPactful Panther student volunteers, the park’s new Christmas tree was beautiful. Great job, ladies!

Then, we supported holiday crafts & treats at The Gowanda Free Library. Local families had the opportunity to escape the winter cold while crafting a festive ornament and enjoying holiday treats! Special thanks to the hard-working library staff for making that day memorable!

The annual Christmas parade followed the tree-lighting that evening. Our three floats were military tributes, which were especially meaningful as this year’s event fell on the 83rd anniversary of Pearl Harbor. We coordinated with the Gowanda Area Chamber of Commerce and the American Legion Post 409 to play tapes as a remembrance of those servicemembers who tragically lost their lives. Thank you to everyone involved for making that possible!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, Gowanda!
