Lunch Anyone?
We donated an industrial can opener and 3 bulk cans of food to help volunteers at The Loving Spoonful soup kitchen!
Last spring, Gowanda Love INC opened the kitchen to fight food insecurities in our rural community. Volunteers cook delicious meals for growing numbers of local residents throughout the week, now serving 200 people monthly as spring nears. The warmer weather will also bring new healthy & homemade selections for everyone to enjoy!
Unfortunately, bulk food can assortments have put up a fight for kitchen volunteers. The heavy-duty design makes opening the cans with a typical can opener difficult. It was time for an upgrade! The industrial can opener will become a mainstay in the kitchen for the many meals to come.
