End Gowanda Hunger: July Reusable Bag Donation

It’s Summer Beach Weather with Beach-Styled Reusable Bags!

We donated 200 reusable grocery bags to The Gowanda Food Pantry last week through our End Gowanda Hunger initiative!

Our reusable bag donations started last summer in response to the dwindling plastic bag supply pantry volunteers were experiencing during food distribution. The glaring need for an eco-friendly option was discovered at that moment. We quickly chose reusable grocery bags after our community navigated through water pollution firsthand. One year later, the series has sustained the pantry’s transition to green bagging alternatives!

We continue to be impressed by the longevity & impact this series brings to the pantry. Reusable bags are now available on a weekly basis for food distribution, pop-ups, and regular business hours on Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday. Visit the pantry sometime to try them for yourself!

Reusable Bag Donation Count: 1,500
