Gowanda Community Cleanup 2023!

We had a blast participating in our community’s cleanup this past weekend!

The Gowanda Community Cleanup is an annual event that focuses on removing trash from the village’s public areas, parks, & roadsides. Revolving around Earth Day, the event always occurs at the cusp of WNY’s spring weather in April. It also brings our community closer together as friends, families, and teens rally to gather uninvited garbage throughout the area and dispose of it properly.

This year’s cleanup had over 50 people lend a hand late Saturday morning. The strong presence was led by The ImPactful Panthers, Gowanda’s very own student volunteering club out of the high school. Once the event got underway, groups dispersed in all directions to find any trash lingering around. Our time was devoted to removing plastic debris from one of the village’s many backroads & we couldn’t have been happier to see the litter-free finished product!

Terrific job from all involved! Thank you kindly for your time, and we hope you have a great rest of your day!
