Banner of Joy & Cups Filled with Kindness!

We surprised Seth Shaw & his siblings of Butterflies in the Sky yesterday with a banner to assist with their efforts to support local first responders!

After the family’s successful batch of lemonade stands this past summer, the kids are now running hot chocolate stands to benefit The Gowanda Volunteer Fire Department. The young panthers’ first stand of the season was featured at the Fishing Derby this past weekend. Angelina (age 16) is leading the effort with the help of her brother Seth (age 12) and sister Cora-lynn (age 5).

All proceeds raised throughout the fall will contribute to purchasing a portable pond for the fire department. This device is designed to sustain a department’s water supply in the absence of a fire hydrant. Angelina is determined to help bring this asset to our rural community. With the fire department matching every dollar donated, the kids hope to raise enough funding to cover the $3,000 purchase.

We want to thank & extend our appreciation to Hae Jude Custom Signs for collaborating with us on this effort. The family-owned business out of Silver Creek jumped on the opportunity, and we cannot thank them enough for designing such a great banner. Along with the signage, today’s effort also saw the donation of 500 disposable hot cups & 1,000 stir sticks for enjoying Angelina’s flavored hot chocolate!

Be sure to enjoy it for yourself by visiting Butterflies in the Sky’s next stand on Saturday, October 29th. Thank you kindly for your time, and we hope you have a great rest of your day!
