Christmas Countdown!
The holiday season may be several months away, but that did not stop our efforts to benefit the village holiday spectacular: Christmas in Gowanda.
The annual Christmas tree lighting opens the village event and draws quite the audience of community friends, families, & leaders. Although, crowd sizes in the past few years have unfortunately drowned out the tree into the sea of people. This was witnessed firsthand over the 2021 holidays, and we began to explore a better option soon after.
We’re happy to announce our donation of a 10-foot-tall permanent tree for Christmas in Gowanda! This effort would not have been possible without the generous support of Schichtel’s Nursery. We wish to send a special thank you to them and the village Board for fostering this idea into reality.
Every year, Christmas brings families together. This tree looks to do the same for our community as it grows with the village & residents. While it isn’t decorated yet, feel free to see the tree for yourself any day right in downtown Gowanda at Chang-Hu Park.
